21 Wks!!

How your baby's growing:
Your baby now weighs about three-quarters of a pound and is approximately 10 1/2 inches long. His eyebrows and eyelids are fully developed. And you can certainly feel him move. He's oblivious to your schedule, though, so don't be surprised if he starts working out just when you're settling down for the night. If you're having a girl, her vagina is formed now, though it will continue to develop until birth.

She moved around a lot and finally at the end, we got to see the gender... i guess ricky was secretly wanting a boy... go figure..the lady said that from all angles she saw, that it looked like a girl...and rick was like "are you sure? maybe he has an 'innie'!" silly rick.. these pics are good enough for me!! now im going all out in pink. yaya!!

ob appt

last friday was the ob appt that i was waiting for... turns out, they didnt schedule me for an ultrasound then, and they refused to do one until im at least 20 weeks. I know people that got them like 4 weeks earlier! this girl i know from base is going to the same place as me, and they let her get hers at 18. but oh well... i guess we'll be more certain after 20. needless to say, i was grumpy. haha.. it doesnt take a lot for me to get instantly sad or mad... i love being pregnant.

How your baby's growing: Your baby weighs about 8 1/2 ounces, and he measures 6 inches, head to bottom -- about the length of a small zucchini. His arms and legs are in the right proportions to each other and the rest of his body now. His kidneys continue to make urine, and the hair on his scalp is sprouting. This is a crucial time for sensory development: Your baby's brain is designating specialized areas for smell, taste, hearing, vision, and touch. If your baby is a girl, she has an astonishing six million eggs in her ovaries. They'll dwindle to fewer than two million by the time she's born.

18 wks

How your baby's growing: Head to bottom, your baby is approximately 5 1/2 inches long (about the length of a large sweet potato) and he weighs almost 7 ounces. He's busy flexing his arms and legs -- movements that you'll likely start noticing more and more. His blood vessels are visible through his thin skin and his ears are now in position and stand out from his head. Myelin (a protective covering) is beginning to form around his nerves, a process that will continue for a year after he's born. If you're having a girl, his uterus and Fallopian tubes are formed and in place. If your baby is a boy, his genitals are noticeable, though he may hide them from you during an ultrasound.
